Contractors for the Bossier Parish Police Jury have poured the surface for a new bridge at Swan Lake Rd. (just off Poole Rd.) over the Flat River and are moving closer to completion. Dirt work on approaches to the bridge is ongoing.

Swan Lake Rd.’s southbound lane beneath Interstate 220 will be closed for construction Monday, July 27 beginning at 8 p.m. and will reopen July 28 at 5 a.m.
Also closed will be the I-220 eastbound exit ramp, and law enforcement officers will be on site to help accommodate traffic control on Swan Lake Rd.

As provided by the Governor’s order, the Jury will meet in person and limited members of the public will be able to be in physical attendance.

Rough spots are being dug out and overlayed on the western end of Swan Lake Rd. while one lane on Airline Dr. north of its intersection with Swan Lake is being replaced with a new base and surface.
