Boil Advisory Lifted – Water Restored for Chandler Road Area Residents

Posted: Jun 4, 2025, 4:13 PM

The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) is happy to share that the boil advisory for residents along Chandler, Crawford, and Roach Roads—served by the Village Water System—has officially been lifted.

Thanks to the swift response of work crews, repairs were promptly completed after a flush hydrant was accidentally damaged by a bush hog cutting grass. The incident temporarily disrupted water service between the 200 and 900 blocks of Chandler Road, including Crawford and Roach Roads.

As a precaution, a boil advisory was issued while water quality testing was conducted. We’re pleased to report that the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport has confirmed the water is safe to drink and use as normal.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this time. No further action is needed—your water is safe and ready to use!
