Immediate Closure of the Atkins Clark Bridge in South Bossier Parish

The Bossier Parish Police Jury has announced the immediate closure of the Atkins Clark Bridge, located 1000 feet east of Highway 71 in South Bossier Parish, due to structural sinkage. This closure will affect local traffic, with residents and other vehicles being redirected to alternative routes to reach their destinations. Authorities have confirmed that the bridge will remain closed indefinitely.

"We understand the inconvenience this closure will cause, but the safety of our residents is our top priority," said Parish Engineer Eric Hudson. "We are working diligently to assess the situation and will provide updates as soon as possible."
