Infrastructure Improvements Lead to Boil Advisories and Lane Closures on Princeton Road

The Consolidated Water/Sewerage District #1 informs residents in the Princeton Road area about ongoing boil advisories and lane closures due to infrastructure improvements on the Village Water System.

Work crews contracted with the Bossier Parish Police Jury are upgrading the water mains from Drake Drive to Winfield Road. The project's next phase will be from Winfield Road to Bellevue Road. The upgrades are projected to take several months to complete and will cost nearly $4 million.  

Boil Advisories:

• Reason: Water line breaks caused by contractors working on infrastructure projects and loss of water pressure.
• Instructions: Residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth.
• Duration: The advisories will remain in effect until further notice. Updates will be provided as soon as the situation is resolved.

Lane Closures:

• Dates: Starting March 26, 2025, and continuing until May 23, 2025.
• Location: Princeton Road will experience a temporary single-lane closure from the intersection of Winfield Road to Drake Drive.
• Hours: The lane closure will be in effect from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Details: The construction zone will shift daily as the new water line is installed. Motorists are advised to follow all caution signs and signal flaggers while traveling through this area. Consider using alternative routes via Wafer Road or LA 157 to avoid the construction zone.
