Boil Advisory Issued for Village Water System Residents on Highway 164 in Haughton

The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) has announced a boil advisory for residents served by the Village Water System, specifically those living along Highway 164 in Haughton.

Earlier this evening, a contractor working in the area accidentally struck a water main, resulting in a loss of pressure. Consequently, CWSD #1 crews temporarily shut off the water supply to perform necessary repairs. Due to this disruption, officials have issued a boil advisory affecting approximately 50 homes in the vicinity.

Water samples have been collected and will be sent for testing tomorrow morning. Residents are advised to boil their water before consumption. The boil advisory will remain in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport, completes the required testing and confirms the water is safe for use.
