Boil Advisory Issued for Village Water System Customers

The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) has issued a partial boil advisory for residents receiving water service from the Village Water System, specifically those living on Princeton Road between Winfield and Drake Drive.  

Earlier today, a contractor broke a 4-inch water main while installing new water lines. As a result, CWSD #1 crews temporarily shut off the water supply to the affected homes to carry out repairs. Officials issued a boil advisory for residents between the two roads due to a service interruption. Water samples will be collected and tested next week.

The boil advisory will remain in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport, completes the necessary water testing.
