Partial Boil Advisory Issued for Village Water System Customers

The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) has issued a partial boil advisory for residents receiving water service from the Village Water System, specifically those living in the 600 block of Princeton Road up to the Winfield intersection.

Earlier today, a contractor working in the area accidentally broke a 4-inch water main. As a result, CWSD #1 crews had to temporarily shut off the water supply to the affected homes to carry out repairs. Due to this interruption, officials have issued a boil advisory for approximately 20 homes impacted by the shutdown. Water samples are currently being collected for testing.

The boil advisory will remain in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport, completes the necessary water testing.
