Boil Advisory Lifted for Village Water System Alta & Martha Drives

The boil advisory issued for the Village Water System on Alta and Martha Drives has been lifted by the Louisiana Department of Health Lab in Shreveport.

Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District # 1 work crews reported that a 6-inch water main broke on Alta Drive yesterday morning. That break caused a shutdown of the line for repairs. However, due to the shutdown, officials issued a boil advisory and collected water samples for testing from the line.

The water samples from the line were tested at the LA Dept. of Health Lab and returned negative. No further action will be taken with this advisory.
