Boil Advisory Issued for the Village Water System Alta & Martha Drives

Officials from the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) have issued a boil advisory for customers receiving water service from the Village Water System on Alta and Martha Drives in Haughton. 

Officials reported that a 6-inch water main broke on Alta Drive early this morning. Repairs have been completed, and service has been restored. However, due to the shutdown, officials have issued a boil advisory for customers in the area and are collecting water samples for testing.

This advisory will remain in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport completes the water testing.
