Administrative officials from parishes around the state, including Bossier Parish Secretary Rachel Hauser and Assistant Secretary Megan Ramos, exchanged views and studied issues during the annual Louisiana Organization of Parish Officials 68th annual training conference at Bossier City's Horseshoe Casino.
Valuable information on parish government and legislation was presented not only to secretaries, treasurers and administrative officers, but also to support staff, office personnel and police jurors by featured speakers and during panel discussions.
A number of workshops were presented on topics including what is new for parish government after the 2023 Legislative Session, updates on retirement systems, worker’s compensation and group health plans. Attendees also heard a presentation on active shooter awareness.
Presiding over the conference was OPAO President Tim Weaver of Caddo Parish.
