According to an announcement by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the LA Hwy. 527 bridge over Flat River in south Bossier Parish will be closed, beginning on Monday, August 1.
This closure is scheduled to last one week, and is necessary to allow crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings. The bridge is located just east of the intersection with US Hwy 71 near Taylortown.
Work will require total bridge closure. All vehicles will need to detour using alternate routes US 71 to LA Hwy.154 to LA Hwy 527.
