According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, Bossier Parish is under a winter storm warning that will bring heavy mixed precipitation. Significant snow or ice accumulation is expected to impact the area.
Roads bridges and overpasses will likely become slick and hazardous from Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
The weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
Postpone travel if necessary. This storm threatens life and property so take protective action immediately.
