ROAD CLOSURE: US 80 (E. Texas Street) at the UP RR crossing, Bossier Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Sunday, October 27, 2024, US 80 (E. Texas Street) at the Union Pacific railroad crossing in Bossier City will be closed.
This road closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Oct. 27th and will remain in place until Friday, November 1, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m.
This closure is necessary to allow UP Railroad to perform repairs at their crossing.
This crossing is located about 700 feet west of the LA 3 (Benton Road) intersection (see included map).
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Traffic will be detoured via the Walter O. Bigby Carriageway, and detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
