The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the start of a project that will provide repairs to portions of several routes in both Bossier and Caddo Parishes.
Work on the $2.2 million project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, weather permitting.
The following routes will receive full-depth patching to repair the roadway base at specified locations, milling to remove the old asphalt, new asphalt paving, and new roadway striping:
- LA 614 from US 80 to LA 157 in Haughton (Bossier Parish)
- US 80 (Greenwood Rd) from LA 3094 (Hearne Ave) to Johnson St. in Shreveport (Caddo Parish)
- LA 511 (70th St.) from Line Ave. to Linwood Ave. in Shreveport (Caddo Parish)
- LA 789 from the Caddo/DeSoto Parish line north approximately. 0.5 mile (Caddo Parish)
The contractor, Benton & Brown, LLC., will begin with intermittent lane closures on LA 511 (70th Street), so motorists should be aware of construction activity in this area. Please travel with caution through the work zone and never drive while impaired or distracted.
This project is funded through HB 406 of the 2022 Regular Legislative Session.
