Boil Advisory Lifted for Village Water System HWY 614-Stewart & Chandler Roads

The Louisiana Department of Health Lab in Shreveport has lifted the boil advisory issued for the Village Water System on HWY 614, Stewart, and Chandler Roads.

Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District # 1 work crews initiated the shutdown of a 12-inch water main while connecting this line to another main. This shutdown resulted in officials issuing a boil advisory for customers on the line and collecting water samples for testing.

The water samples from the line were tested at the LA Dept. of Health Lab and returned negative. No further action will be taken with this advisory.
