Boil Advisory Issued for the Village Water System

Officials with the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 (CWSD #1) issued a boil advisory for customers on the Village Water System in the 7600 block of Highway 80.

Officials say the contractor working in the area damaged the water main at 7675 HWY 80. The line was immediately repaired but as a safety precaution officials issued a boil advisory and collected water samples for testing.

The boil advisory is expected to affect customers living between Beauregard and Elsie Streets at HWY 80. The advisory will remain in effect until testing has been completed by the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health in Shreveport.
