During a recent news conference sponsored by AT&T, Bossier Parish Police jurors Philip Rodger (President) and Glenn Benton were in attendance for AT&T's to announce a substantial investment of over $150 million in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
In a statement, an AT&T representative said our mission is to bring connectivity to everyone, no matter where they live or where they come from. We’re working to boost network reliability and capacity and expand broadband nationwide to help bridge the digital divide.
Police Jury President Philip Rodgers said the jury has been working diligently to expand access to fiber in the parish. “We maintain constant communication with AT&T to enhance service for the residents, and this partnership has been crucial in achieving our objective,” Rodgers stated.
State officials believe this is a critical step towards closing the digital divide in Louisiana that will help stimulate significant economic and educational advancements for our citizens.
