Customers of Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District 1 of Bossier Parish including the recently merged Village Water will be able to receive prompt notification of system difficulties thanks to a system designed to provide instant alerts.
Individuals can now register to be part of Onsolve CodeRed parish notification, an automated emergency system that will allow the parish to immediately send phone calls, texts, emails and posts to social media to alert residents.
By signing up for CodeRed, parish residents can quickly be notified of problems including boil orders, system failures or breaks in lines that could cause water outages. CodeRed will deliver time-sensitive alerts and communications targeting location-based difficulties.
Individuals wanting to enroll in the system may do so by following the steps shown in the accompanying display. Registration for the parish-wide system is also available by texting BOSSIER at the number, 99411.
Participation in the 24-hour notification system is voluntary.
