One of the state's premier historical sites was featured this week when Dr. Diana Greenlee discussed current research at Poverty Point World Heritage Site for a crowd of 48 patrons as part of a Louisiana Archaeology Month event at the Bossier Parish Central Library's History Center.
Dr. Greenlee explained how archaeologists are using new technology to gain insight into Poverty Point’s construction. Dr. Greenlee, station archaeologist at Poverty Point for the Louisiana Division of Archaeology, is co-author of the book, “Poverty Point: Revealing the Forgotten City.”
