Laying surface for the southern extension of the Arthur Ray Teague multi-use trail has begun with crews working from the 90-degree curve east to Parkway High School.
While work is proceeding, the ART will remain open to traffic but will one lane will be closed in the construction areas. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and watch for workers and equipment.
Construction of the approximately two-mile extension is being funded by the Red River Waterway Commission.
