Pursuant to La. R.S. 29:727, the President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury has hereby declared a State of Emergency due to an emergency situation as a result of forecasted winter weather. In accordance with said declaration, the Bossier Parish Courthouse will be closed effective Tuesday, February 16, 2021, and Wednesday, February 17, 2021. A notice will be posted on the police jury’s website at www.bossierparishla.gov should the need arise for the courthouse to be closed on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
In response to the Emergency Declaration issued by Mr. Jerome Darby, President of the Bossier Parish Police Jury, the February 17, 2021, Finance and Regular Police Jury Meeting, as well as any other board meetings and committee meetings that may have been scheduled for February 17, 2021, have been cancelled.
A public hearing was scheduled to be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in the Police Jury Meeting Room, Bossier Parish Courthouse, Benton, Louisiana, to consider approval of the plat and site plan of the proposed development of Airline Lagniappe Subdivision, Unit No. 1, being a Planned Unit Development and a resubdivision of Lot 1, Willow Chute Commercial Subdivision, Unit No. 4, located in Section 21, Township 19 North, Range 13 West, Bossier Parish, LA. (Located just north of Swan Lake Road on the right side of Airline Drive), but this public hearing has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
