Numbers up for early voting

Bossier Parish voters are beginning to learn the way to the new voting site conveniently located closer to thousands of south Bossier residents who would like to save a few miles during early balloting.

Registrar of Voters Stephanie Agee said the first day of early voting that began Tuesday was much better during this balloting period.

“As of 3 o’clock this afternoon, we’ve already had 174 individuals vote early,” Agee said Tuesday. “This turnout is much better than our first time. I think people are beginning to know we’re here. We have billboards up and that’s one aid to direct them to us.”

Early voting at the courthouse in Benton and the Bossier Parish Library History Center located adjacent to city hall in Bossier City and continues through Tuesday, Oct. 30. Persons can vote from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Polls will be closed Sunday.
