A tractor-trailer hauling a piece of oil field equipment leaked hazardous material last week over an approximate eight-mile stretch roadway stretching from northbound I-49, onto La. Hwy. 2 and continuing to just east of La. Hwy. 3.

Senators to be Recognized (10/17/2019)
A pair of Louisiana state senators will receive special recognition Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. for their efforts in helping obtain funding for an eastern entrance to Barksdale Air Force Base.

A boil advisory has been issued effective immediately for sections of the East Central Bossier water system including Fire Tower Rd. north of McBeth Rd., including Martin Rd. and DeMoss Rd., according to parish Director of Public Utilities Larry Landry.

Volunteers Receive Training from National Weather Service (10/09/2019)
Volunteers interested in helping the National Weather Service locate and identify hazardous weather were instructed in how to gather and report information during a Skywarn spotter seminar Wednesday.

Black Bayou at the Linton Rd. Update (10/08/2019)
Parish Police Jury contractors are reportedly on schedule in boring beneath Black Bayou at the Linton Rd. to make way for relocating utility lines running alongside the structure.

Burn Ban Lifted (10/07/2019)
A parish-wide burn ban for Bossier Parish, which has been in effect since Sept. 14, has officially been lifted. Parish Police Jury President Doug Rimmer signed a document officially rescinding the ban Monday.

New Water/Sewerage Billing System Implemented (10/07/2019)
A new billing system is being instituted for Bossier Parish’s Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 in order to establish a more consistent billing date, parish officials have announced.
